Flagey Piano Days: Boris Giltburg

Since Boris Giltburg won the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2013, the music-loving Belgium has embraced the talented Israeli pianist. During the Flagey Piano Days, he will perform the work which he performed with such bravura in 2013: Prokofiev's 3rd Piano Concerto. The composer’s most popular work, and the most balanced and virtuoso as well. A masterpiece.

The work finds itself in good company with two other masters inspired by fantastical tales: Guillaume Connesson went in search of the horror stories of H. P. Lovecraft, while Stravinsky brought the colourful Russian fable of the Firebird to life in music.
