Lars Vogt has counted Grieg’s Piano Concerto among his repertoire for many years. In 1992 he recorded it under the baton on none other than Sir Simon Rattle – that gained him glowing reviews. Nuanced, alternating between restrained and playful, in short: refreshing. His playing has evolved further since then, as the Grieg concerto reveals more and more of its secrets to this top German pianist.
