Welcome at Brussels Philharmonic Recordings
New World - Dvorák

The Brussels Philharmonic’s own label has released its second CD. The first recording, La Mer – Debussy (released in 2011), was very well received internationally. For the second release in the series the music of Dvorák was chosen, and this recording was also conducted by the orchestra’s chief conductor, Michel Tabachnik.
In the coming years, the Brussels Philharmonic and Michel Tabachnik will continue to guide their audience, via this label with its high-end quality recordings and daring interpretations, through the great symphonic repertoire. Forthcoming CDs will feature the great works of Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Stravinsky, to name but a few.
Michel Tabachnik, conductor:
“The Symphony No. 9 From the New World and the Slavonic Dances by Dvorák are among the most popular masterpieces of the romantic period. The musicians of the Brussels Philharmonic and I are pleased to present a new version of these classics, enhanced by the top quality, enthusiasm and passion that have become our stock in trade.
The next recordings in this lovely series are devoted to Tchaikovsky and Beethoven, while in our concerts we take equal delight in combining the works of Luciano Berio and Gustav Mahler. It is with the same brio that we approach all these different composers and styles: our programmes attest to our eclecticism and show our aim to reach everyone with the power of music.”
