KlaraFestival 2010: Family Concert with Brunch
THE MAHLER CONNECTION
Debussy composed his Danse Profane in response to the invention of a new type of harp: a languid sense of gravity and melancholy is transformed into a whimsical Spanish waltz. The works of his contemporary, Mahler, also immerse us in a broad range of emotions. His Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen express the pain of losing a loved one.
