2.   Planning

  • You can register untill the 24th of June 2009, by using the subscription form attached hereto.
  • Your registration is only complete after a written confirmation by Brussels Philharmonic that we received that we   received your subscription form in good order.
  • The orchestral excerpts are downloadable as a PDF from www.brusselsphilharmonic.be/vacancies. Please use  only these excerpts!
  • On the 24th of June you have the opportunity to rehearse with your or our accompanist in between 8 am and 10am at the place of the audition. Our stage management will contact you to propose a rehearsal time, depending on the number of participants and the available rehearsal rooms.
  • If you do not wish to rehearse at the audition place on beforehand, you need to be present at 10 am at latest.
  • The audition starts at 10 am with a drawing by lot, whereafter the particpants will present themselves to the jury  in alloted order. Participants who arrive after 10 am, will not be allowed to the audition.
  • After the first round the results will be announced, and those participants who are allowed to the second round will be judged again in the same alloted order as the first round. 
  • We expect to end at 6 pm latest, depending on the number of participants and the time that the jury will need  to decide.

 

 3.   Some extracts from the audition regulations


 

  • The auditions are open to every candidate,  regardless of age, gender or nationality, in compliance with the applicable laws.
  • The auditions consists of two rounds, the first rounded will be screened.
  • If the jury doesn’t come to a conclusion, the chairman of the jury will have the final and decisive vote. 
  • The results of the jury will be announced publicly. The participant who has succeeded, can be recruited for a trial period of 6 months. At the end of the trial period there will be an evaluation by the jury and the applicable orchestral section.
