12 September 2020, half a year after the last concert – a concert for an empty hall. Both ensembles are back on stage. It will be a symbolic concert, the first since a long time with an audience - with both Brussels Philharmonic and the Vlaams Radiokoor.

The Vlaams Radiokoor will provide the first notes, with the moving Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen by Gustav Mahler. One of his most beautiful songs, one that seeks to give voice to his suffering and ours.
Then Beethovens Fifth stands as proof that music is universal. The four simple opening notes unleash a roller coaster of emotions, a heroic tale of triumph. Every phase of human existence is reviewed: happiness, drama, joy, tragedy – and a finale that sparkles triumphantly.
