The Max Bruch Violin Concerto is one of the all-time favourites of the violin repertoire. And rightly so, as is evident not only from its popularity with audiences but also from the love of soloists for the work.
This is followed by two works composed as ballets. Roussel reworked Bacchus et Ariane into a popular suite, just as Ravel did with his homage to Johann Strauss, Jr. in his iconic La Valse.
