Early January. The year is still young, it’s dark and cold outside – bubbles are necessary to wave goodbye to 2019. There can be no better way to do so than with a gigantic new year’s concert to celebrate the transition.
This year we call upon a few delicious and energetic French masters for some razzle-dazzle, with their southern rhythms and sultry sounds. Clarinet virtuoso Annelien Van Wauwe treats us to the rarely performed First Clarinet Concerto by Carl Maria von Weber. A perfect match for the classics of the Strauss dynasty and other great masters of the waltz.
