David Kadouch

Born in 1985, David Kadouch studied with Odile Poisson at the C.N.R. in Nice, with Jacques Rouvier at the CNSM in Paris, with Dmitri Bashkirov at the Reina Sofia School in Madrid and perfected his skills with Murray Perahia, Maurizio Pollini, Maria-João Pires, Daniel Barenboim, Vitaly Margulis, Itzhak Perlman, Elisso Virsaladze and Emanuel Krasovsky. At the age of 13, he played at the Metropolitan Hall in New York, at 14 at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, and in 2005 he was invited to the Salzburg and Verbier Academies (Prix d'Honneur in 2009), then a finalist in the Leeds International Piano Competition in 2009. Since 2007, he has been a laureate of the ADAMI, the Natexis Banques Populaires Foundation and also Revelation Young Talent at the Victoires de la Musique 2010 and Young Artist of the Year at the Classical Music Awards 2011.

David Kadouch has been invited to numerous festivals, including the Lucerne Festival of Contemporary Music under the direction of Pierre Boulez, the Klavier-Festival Ruhr, the festivals of Gstaad, Montreux, Verbier, Jerusalem, Aix-en-Provence, Colmar, Deauville, La Roque d'Anthéron, Montpellier, Saint-Denis, Piano aux Jacobins in Toulouse, Folle Journée de Nantes, and in China. He regularly performs in chamber music with his partners Renaud and Gautier Capuçon, Edgar Moreau, Nikolaj Znaider, Antoine Tamestit, Frans Helmerson, Victor Julien-Laferrière, Yuri Revich, Sol Gabetta, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Michel Dalberto, as well as the Ebène, Modigliani, Quiroga and Ardeo Quartets.

He is also a guest soloist with numerous orchestras, including the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich and David Zinman, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Marc Minkowski, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and Myung-Whun Chung, the Orchestre National de France and Daniele Gatti, the Orchestre National de Lille and the Gulbenkian Foundation Orchestra with Jean-Claude Casadesus, Orchestre de Strasbourg and Marc Albrecht, Halle Orchestra and Robin Ticciati, Israel Philharmonic, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Orchestre Insula and Laurence Equilbey, Orchestre National de Montpellier, Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Matthias Pintscher, Munich Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Symphoniker Hamburg.

David has given numerous solo recitals in Europe and elsewhere, including Evanston, Biel, Brussels, Paris, Toulon, Amsterdam, Eijsden, Miami, and in duo with Edgar Moreau in Vienna, London, Amsterdam, Toulouse, Lyon, Nantes, Heilbronn, Clermont-Ferrand, Milan, Heiderlberg, Aix-en-provence, Montpellier, Turin... David Kadouch has recorded Beethoven's 5th Concerto (Naxos), the complete Preludes by Shostakovich (TransartLive), a Schumann disc with the Ardeo Quartet (Decca/Universal), a disc of Russian music and a recital devoted to Bach, Janacek, Schumann and Bartok (Mirare), a duo recital with Edgar Moreau (Franck, Strohl, Poulenc and de la Tombelle) (Warner - Erato). His latest release titled Revolution (Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Debussy, Janacek, Dussek, Rzewski), won the Choc Classica award for 2019 and was widely acclaimed by the critics.
