new album Dirk Brossé: Trails & tales

"This album means a great deal to me. Every composition is deeply lived and emerges from the core of my being. Recording this music with the Brussels Philharmonic, one of Europe’s leading orchestras, was once again an honor and a privilege. Working with them always feels like coming home: familiar, intense, and inspiring."

Trails & Tales is a captivating album featuring brand-new symphonic music by the internationally acclaimed composer and globetrotter Dirk Brossé. Each composition is a musical story, born from personal impressions, encounters, and reflections during his journeys around the world.
The titles speak for themselves: Roads and Trees, The Yellow River Waltz, The Last Battle of Napoleon, Guernica, Quite a Different Hallelujah, Isha, In the Light of the Leaves, Om Mani Padme Hum, and the Vocalise in C# Minor. A true highlight is the striking song Until When…?, a poignant musical plea against senseless violence. A question that lingers: 'until when?'
Trails & Tales is more than an album. It is an emotional and spiritual journey, captured in sound.

'Until When?’ is a powerful and emotional song reflecting human suffering as a result of the many conflicts in the world today. Performing it was an intense experience—every word and every note touched me deeply. I am grateful to have been part of this project. Collaborating with Dirk Brossé, a warm and inspiring composer, was a special artistic encounter, marked by mutual respect and deep connection.
