Auction closed

The first Photo Expo & Auction for the benefit of UNHCR closed today. The highest bidders are the proud owners of the unique photo reproductions. They will receive their art work, signed by the photographer, on November 16 during the concert For The Fallen in Flagey. We will contact everyone who participated in the auction, and thank you for placing a bid. All auction proceeds will be donated to UNHCR.

UNHCR wishes to thank the Brussels Philharmonic for their effort in raising funds for UNHCR in such a creative manner and in contributing to raise awareness to the refugees situation throughout the world. UNHCR would also like to express its gratitude to the buyers, who through their purchase support UNHCR's work on improving the life of displaced people all over the world.

The stunning images of our resident photographers Liesbet Peremans, Marcel Lennartz and Wouter Van Vaerenbergh that visually translate this season's productions were presented as works of art during the photo expo & auction. During the months September and October, you could place a bid on several photos, during our concerts at Flagey as well as online.

The highest bidders will be the proud owner of a unique photo reproduction. Each highest bidder will moreover receive 2 VIP tickets for the concert For The Fallen on November 16 at Flagey. That night he or she will be given the signed art work by the photographer. The Brussels Philharmonic and the Vlaams Radio Koor will donate all auction proceeds to the UNHCR. Together with UNHCR, the Brussels Philharmonic and the Vlaams Radio Koor wish to draw attention to basic values such as tolerance and solidarity. The UNHCR links the music to reality, exhibiting a series of moving portraits of refugee children in Europe: the Dream Diaries show, in photos, stories and videos, that refugee children have had to leave behind everything except their hopes and dreams of the future.
