The Brussels Philharmonic makes its Carnegie Hall debut under the baton of music director Stéphane Denève with a program combining well-known orchestral standards with 21st-century music. The orchestra is joined by violinist Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider for Bruch’s Violin Concerto followed by two works composed as ballets. Roussel reworked Bacchus et Ariane into a popular suite, just as Ravel did with his iconic La Valse.
