To mark its 25th anniversary, the Olivia Hendrickx Research Fund presents a special edition of its annual Gala Concert, featuring the Brussels Philharmonic for the very first time.

The Olivia Hendrickx Research Fund celebrates a quarter-century of dedication to hope and progress with an evening of togetherness, purpose, and three absolute musical masterpieces.
The energy of Antonín Dvořák’s Carnival Overture opens the evening in a whirlwind of vitality, followed by George Enescu’s Romanian Rhapsody, which brilliantly captures the vibrant folk traditions of his homeland. After this display of symphonic fireworks, the stage is set for the romantic drama of Tchaikovsky’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 1. Its iconic opening chords made the work world-famous, and they will truly come alive in the masterful hands of Belgian pianist Valère Burnon, third-prize laureate of the 2025 Queen Elisabeth Competition.
The concert will be followed by an elegant walking dinner in the historic Victor Horta Hall at BOZAR. All proceeds from this evening will go directly toward funding innovative childhood cancer research.
