Walk, move, dance: Aeio turns your movements into music.

MUSIC ROBOT AEIO

Aeio is an interactive music robot with 12 strings. Instead of a traditional bow, it uses electromagnets and piano hammers to set the strings in motion, creating a soft, floating sound reminiscent of string instruments.

Thanks to a built-in radar sensor, your movements become the driving force behind the music. Like the composers of LAB I: Musical Prompts, Aeio explores new ways of creating, experiencing and listening to sound.

Aeio is an installation by Stichting Logos.

Musical Prompts · 17.10.2026 · Brussels Philharmonic LAB @ Flagey

Prompts instead of notes? That’s what happens when you dare to let go of control: a graphic spark that disrupts, liberates, or completely reinvents the classical orchestral sound. Forget the ticking of your watch — here, music doesn’t rush forward; it bites into the now. Ilan Volkov and four visionary composers ask us to listen differently: what remains when the noise falls away?

Move the tape, shape the sound. Discover how a single recording can become something new with every gesture.

MANIPULOPHONE

No bow or drumsticks to make music, but a piece of magnetic tape. With Manipulophone, you play a pre-recorded tape by moving it across the playback heads.

Slide faster or slower, forwards or backwards, and discover how the very same recording can transform with every movement. Each gesture changes what you hear, turning experimentation into a musical discovery.

Manipulophone is an installation by Stichting Logos.

Mystery of Time · 24.11.2026 · Brussels Philharmonic LAB @ Flagey

Conductor Oscar Jockel explores the potential of an orchestra scattered throughout the hall: distance shifts into proximity, sound turns fluid, and movement reshapes the listening experience. Musicians, instruments, audience—everyone breathes and sounds differently. An experience that grounds you in the here and now.

Dynamo

Dynamo turns movement into music. As you pedal, you generate the electricity that brings the electric guitar to life. The installation makes the interplay between physical energy and electronic sound tangible – the perfect introduction to William Dougherty’s new concerto for electric guitar and orchestra at Sonic Decay.

Dynamo is an installation by Stichting Logos.
