Get ready to be blown away — by trumpets, horns, trombones and tubas. The Brussels Philharmonic Soloists serve up a bold brass cocktail: French elegance meets electronic groove in a vibrant morning concert full of surprises.

Think you know what a trumpet, horn, trombone and tuba can do? Think again. Contemporary works by Alex Shapiro, Florian Magnus-Maier and Charles Small push brass to its limits — from surprising solos and daring duets to soundscapes tinged with electronics and groove.
On the flip side: pure elegance. Step into the charm of early 20th-century France with music by Francis Poulenc and Lili Boulanger. It’s light, summery, and full of colour.
Trombonist William Foster puts it best: “Boulanger’s Trois Morceaux – D'un Vieux Jardin, D'un Jardin Clair, and Cortege – paint pictures of a beautiful summer's day, and the arrangement for brass instruments enhances this by giving the music a shimmering brassy sheen.”
