Europasinfonie

Twelve countries. One orchestra.

24.02.2026 - In June 2027, Brussels becomes one of the key nodes in a moment that rewrites musical history. For the first time in history, 12 locations across Europe connect into one virtual orchestra performing together in real time — despite being separated by distances of up to 2200 kilometers.

The string section plays live in Dresden. The percussion in Brussels. The clarinets in Athens. Seven more instrumental groups and two choirs are distributed across the continent, all playing together as if they were in the same concert hall. This isn’t a video montage. This is live, synchronous music-making across borders.

With Europasinfonie, the Brussels Philharmonic, together with partners including Dresdner Sinfoniker, Hochschule Anhalt (Köthen), and others across Europe, is part of a project that is both technologically groundbreaking and artistically visionary, demonstrating how digital innovation can revolutionize classical music.
