For the anniversary edition of Iedereen Klassiek, the Brussels Philharmonic has picked some hits from the endless soundtrack of the United States. Antonín Dvořák worked there and found musical inspiration, George Gershwin revolutionized classical music, and John Williams continues to compose magnificent film scores. Brussels Philharmonic promises yet another two unforgettable concerts, with music that will resonate for a long time.
Boyan Vodenitcharov, laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, known for his proficiency in jazz, improvisation, and classical music, will be the soloist in the sparkling Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin. "I wanted to express the pace of our modern life, hectic, chaotic, and dynamic. It's the expression of an emotional world," Gershwin explained about this piece from 1924.
